Fort Robinson, Nebraska
In May, 1877, Crazy Horse and his people surrendered at Fort Robinson, Nebraska. About three months later, Crazy Horse was killed, bayoneted by a soldier on this spot, while arrested and being taken to the guard house. This small monument marks the place he was killed on September 5th, 1877, only a year and a few months after his magnificent victory at Little Big Horn. He was thirty-three years old.
